Labradorite is a plagioclase feldspar, a sodium calcium aluminium silicate with a hardness of 6 to 6.5. Labradorite is treasured for its multi-colored appearance which shows vivid flashes of red, blue, green, gold, orange and violet. The flash of rainbows is even more visible when the stone is held in the light. Labradorite can be found in the United States, Canada, Madagascar and Russia.
