Amazonite

Description:

Amazonite is an alkali feldspar mineral, a potassium aluminium silicate with a hardness of 6 to 6.5. Its colour is blue-green or green and its name is derived from the Amazon River in Brazil where Amazonite deposits can be found. Other countries where Amazonite are found include Madagascar, Pakistan, India and Colorado. Amazonite jewellery was produced as long as 4 thousand years ago in Egypt and India. Amazonite was also a popular amulet stone in ancient Egypt.

Amazonite Healing Properties and uses:

Amazonite is a stone of harmony. It is a peacemaker and helps to activate one's compassion through stimulation of the heart chakra. It helps to communicate one's true thoughts and feelings.
